An invitation to a 21st century wine-tasting party

March 3rd, 2008 · No Comments

We are working on a number of enhancements to Winescorecard.com. One of the enhancements that I am most excited about is a tool that will really make hosting a wine-tasting party fun.

I know what you are thinking; it is scary hosting a wine party when you don’t know much about wine. Well, that is where our tool will come in handy. We’ve been talking about it since before we even registered the name Winescorecard.com, so you know we are excited about it.

One thing the tool won’t do is send out invitations. We know, you can always use the old stand-by “Evite”. Let me let you in on a little secret - if you are using the latest advance in wine recommendations (that would be us, by the way), you should be using a modern invitation engine. We would recommend either Crusheror Pingg (we’re betting the extra “g” is for “Great!”). To be honest, I haven’t used Pingg yet, but the interface looks really appealing.

I have used Crusher a few times now, and I really like it. It is very flexible and easy to use, and doesn’t generate those tacky, cheesy things that the old stand-by gives you. At the very least, it is worth a try.

And keep an eye out for more enhancements to Winescorecard.com. They are coming - and hopefully soon!
